Justin Tuck from the NY Giants and two time Super Bowl champ teamed up with New Jersey lifestyle boutique Sneaker Room to talk about the importance of reading and education. The 6-foot-5 defensive end along Suraj Kaufman and Haytham Elgawly from Sneaker Room got the kids from School 5 in Jersey City excited with different type of scenario’s where their dream jobs involve reading. Tuck, who proudly wears his #91 jersey on the field asked the children of the school, “Do you think I’m good at football because I’m big and strong and fast?”. That question was then followed by him bringing out books to display that his play books are huge and sometimes even need to be completed within 2/3 days maximum.
Once his motivational speech was over he went into the crowd and began to take photos with the kids, who were also in awe that the football star was wearing Doernbecher Foamposite on his feet. You can even spot in one of the pictures that one of the kids is just staring at the kicks!
Moral of the story, you can grow up to be as successful as Justin Tuck. Stay in school, read and get the proper education so you can get a job to purchase all the kicks you want! Glad to see people like the Sneaker Room staff, and Justin Tuck spreading knowledge, positive vibes and encouraging the youth not only to stay fresh but also to stay in school.
